Sandman’s 2024 was a VERY good year, placing FIRST in our region in our weight class.
In 2022, we placed 3rd and for those who are following our progress, you’ll recall we made a strategic decision in 2023 to take a step back and learn and mature a bit.
During 2023, we did a few events but basically, we took “the time it takes, so it takes less time” which is an old training mantra and Sandman learned some new skills and we came back stronger in 2024 finishing 1st, healthy, and super fit.

Our boy Sandman has come a long way and this year ending award, leaves us with some great MOJO and big plans coming for 2025 but at the same time, as we all know, life can turn on a dime and derail you, and this when combined with competing in a sport like endurance with its humbling ups and downs and steps forward, backward, and sideways, often simultaneously, you can easily lose focus.
Our Boy Masquerade passed away at Christmas and soon thereafter, we discovered some ugly nasal tumors with our girl Diamond, who is struggling but working thru treatment now, so we’ve had to take a few deep breaths these last two months and slow our roll a bit and just refocus our energy, put our heads down and get on down the trail a bit more, but stay tuned, if all goes as planned, we will soon have some big plans to report.
As the old saying goes, if your gonna step into the saddle stirrups, you better be ready to ride, and with that in mind, sometimes ya just gotta take a deep breath and jump 🤷🏼, enjoy the ride 😊
